MONOPOLY - MONOPOLIZE

Haben been in good shape for the week. Monday down with fever, Tuesday diarrhea, Wed & Thu cough, today (fri) flu. Although it's like dumb to wish i get sick during the weekend, current work situations forces me to think this way. Better to be sick when no one knows and get back to work on weekdays.

Yeah! My family new CPU will be arriving tml. Acer with 256+512MB of ram running on AMD Athlon Processor. Not fantastic definately, esp when pple buy lappies and iMacs w/o budget constraints, it's still good for my family as it will be alot faster n better than our current one.

Played with my youngest sis new Singapore Ed Monopoly last night with erch, dad n mum. Ah Bong couldn't play coz she got test the next morning. I was the first to get bankrupt who did a lousy deal at exchange of properties. Erch was basically giddy due to my parents gan-chiongness to move their players and the vv colourful game board. My mum was the angel who took our property in exchange of cash owed due to landing at her hotels and my Dad was the schemer who eventually lost it all by building too fast and became cash-poor. The fun thing abt Monopoly is that it teaches u value n concept at investing, striking a balance btwn assets n cash and, of coz, quality time spent playing with each other. Gonna play again today...whahaha!!!

Wooo...haben complete my specs and I have an appt to go later. Till i blog again! (^_^)

activities, anybody?

I'm nv good at being consistent. Candice n Consistency does not exist on the same page in the dictionary, for sure. But i feel guilty for not writing, esp after hana wrote an intro for her readers to come blog-hop. Doesn't do justice to my referer (cant spell), so i shall persevere. Hehe...

Thanks Hana, the notion of introducing of blog is vv sweet. (^_^)

23.06.06 - Last friday went to celebrate the bdaes of my st john friends, Shan Sri and PY. Din noe they had the same bdae all these yrs, coz we nv really celebrate much tgt. So i bought the cake from Swissbake parkway and met Sian at Juntion8. We had planned to get a bouquet of flowers each for the 2 girls + joy who was celebrating her 20th bdae on the 25th June. We were all hyped abt wad flowers to buy, onli to find that the shop was closed for renovations. Ok, vv disappointing, and we were already late for the dinner, but we still wanted to get flowers, so we walked to Bishan Central....walked so far aimlessly... onli to find the ONLI florist outside of J8 was CLOSED FOR THE DAY. I dun understand... y the hell do they close so early??? It was onli like 7.45pm!!!

In the end, we went to NTUC Fairprice (yes, u read correctly) to grab Pink Gerbera, White/Purple carnations and some yellow phoenix. Due to the lack of space, both of us, unglamly, started sorting out the flowers to form 3 bouquets, at an empty counter!!! People were like staring at 2 of us, wondering wad's wrong with these 2 girls. It was absolutely embarassing, but i was too busy doing up the bouquet to care. Thank you Huisian, for i believe she is the onli one who would accompany me do such silly stuff.

So we went to Din TAi Fung to meet up with everyone. Sian and i wanted to surprise the bdae girls, so we lighted the candles, took the cake, checked the table whereabts and advanced to our awaiting party. Alas the waitress gave wrong info!!! Instead of the table being right at the back, they were sitted in the middle, and they looked at us [amusingly] when Sian and I walked passed with our necks craned to finding them. So all of them had to shout our names and call us back. Haha...since they have seen the surprise, it was not so much fun anymore, but everyone had a good laugh coz we were so BLUR.

Throughout dinner, i was teasing n being teased by Uncle BX. I hate to say this, but i think i muz have done smt wrong in my last life to incur the wrath of Maris guys (Read: Deliang, BX n YR). Mrs Lim ordered like so much stuff that she had takeway the fried rice and we were all so full. Luckily she din force us to eat more. *whew* Ooohh...after-dinner activity: KTV!!! 3hrs of non-stop fun and realization of friends i have known for at least 5-7 yrs. BX can;t sing (whahaha, like me), Jeff has a vv superb voice (vv unlike his normal talking), PY has an excellent range (got train one okie) and Shan refuses to sing. We ended the session at 1am, with songs like 'Ai Bu Pa' from Grasshoppers, bringing the event to a high. Everyone was still raring to go, but it was not to be. Reached home at 2.45am, bathed and slept.

24.06.06 - Saturday, not much happened. Bath Wiebber for 1 hr, exclude drying. (Yes, it take such a long time, but i shall tell of the concoction next time). Brought him to my ah-gong's house. MY AH-GONG WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE ME!!! Yippee!!! Stayed till like 5pm before we head home to dropped de dawg at home and went to Coral for dinner with my paternal family. Recieved a call from my maternal small uncle that we won $2k at 4D and wanted to give us a treat of CRABS for supper. YEAH YEAH YEAH!!! Vv affordable crabs at the Zi-Char stall below the flats, but having crabs is always a gooooood thing. My mum swears i'm gonna become crabby some day. Yepz, maybe.

25.06.06 - Sunday. Went to my one n onli nephew's 1-yr old party and had the best Choco-Banana Cake by Sweet Secrets. Bagus!!! Juz in case u were wondering, i din carry my nephew, coz i brought n carried wiebber.... and my cousins were pretty stringent on hygiene... so i onli watched him from afar. He grows ALOT everytime i see him, coz they stay in Perth n onli comes back SG once a yr.

26.06.06 - Monday. HB left home for his 1-week reservist at a far-off camp near Pioneer road at 6am. I'm gonna miss him so much, he probably will miss me too for a 2 mins span from lying in his bunk n falling unconscious due to fatigue. Hahaz...tad's juz so HIM. Wiebber can't really be bothered, he dunnoe y his daddy is up n changing in green clothes so early when the sun hasn't risen. So for these few days, I in charge of Wiebber's needs and i hope he'll be absolutely cooperative.

Ytd - Tuesday. Completed my Sweet Bride (Xin Niang 18), k-drama by Han Ji Hye n Lee Dong Gun. It was absolutely nice n sweet, vv fast-paced (compared to DJG) and hilarious. There were lotsa touching parts towards the end when the 'haramunim' (grandfather) fell ill n passed away. The show is really good, anyone who wants the VCD can borrow from me. Highly recommended since it's onli 14 disc. ;)

Today. Had a good sleep in my sis room (yes, i'm afraid of the dark w/o HB) and Wiebber has been a vv good boi. Aiming properly at his pee pan and not dirtying himself is a feat. Whaha... Ok, updates of the lastest should not be in this long-winded-back-dated post. Haha....

my first credit card

Haha...actually the headline is misleading, it my FIRST supplementary CREDIT CARD!!! It's like a big thing to me, although it would have been better if it were my vv own credit card. Well, maybe most who have turned 21, already have their sup card, courtesy of their mama & papa. But I dun really care, i'm juz thrilled it's my turn. YEAH!!!

Noe who's the main card holder? My mummy?-No; my ah-pa?-Nope; My old & wrinkly imaginary sugardaddy?-There's no such person; My darling HB?-No, he juz got his sup card too. Hehe...enuf of the mystery... It's Mr Chew Hunny. He gave us (HB & me) the card to... ... ... HELP HIM EARN POINT. Arghhh...cheapo! ('HE' - juz joking, dun cancel my card prease)

Okie, thanks to him i got to fill in my particulars on my FIRST sup card application form but one qns, got us all fumbled.

Relationship with main card holder? Options: Spouse; Parent; Sibling or Others:________

Okie, we have a complicated lawful r/s. I'm neither of the above and u dun exactly specify 'sibling's girlfriend' as an explanation. Vv intellectual H.E Chew actually suggested me to put siblings *roll eye*, i was like ' halo...diff surename, see!'. A status of 'friend' doesn't seem to warrant a sup card too. It brought to my mind that those filthy rich old man always give sup cards to his young toys, are their status 'mistress' to be declared???

In the end, we decided on status: Sister-In-Law. Ok, we aren't exactly able to produce a marriage certificate. But, wadever! =P

Wait till Wiebber gets his own sup card, his status would be DOG. Whahaha...

Somebody, save me!

Blogskin is DONE

Yeah... Finally got my wiebber blogskin up, after so much struggling by the html-idiot (ME) and troubling of hanabanana. Hope u all like it. Some minor adjustment to be done but it's too minor to be mentioned. Hehez...Wiebber sure is happy (rwoof!) coz he's like famous online now.

Been busy with blogskin, PPT presentation n work the past 2 days. Work? Did i juz said that myself??? Yes... I guess i decided to quit procrastinating and get my butt moving on the specifications. I need some results to motivate myself.

Okie, i think i spent alot today. I dunnoe y, felt like i need to get into the GSS mood. For those who have the $$, good luck to u all, best bargains are now. For those who are on budget, good luck too, dig out the best! Ate pastamania (again!!!), prawns n shrooms, getting hooked on this dish these days. All thanks to Ham-ham. Went to bodyshop too, wanted ONLI to get a 2-way cake foundation. Discount too great to resist. In the end, got myself a foundation (duh!), blusher, blusher brush, lip gloss.... and a free bag for purchases above $60 (oops, said it). Total discount is 20%. Hopefully this will be able to curb the shopaholic in me till pay day.

For now i'm enjoying my mud mask before i turn in for the night. Eye bags in major need to reduce in size n colour. Pray for me. Nitez! (^_^)

Rainy Monday

Joke (from 93.3fm): Y is Superman clothes so tight?
Ans: Becoz he wear S (size).

Whaha.... No wonder they are so popular on radio, really can brighten up ur day. Especially helpful on a blue, rainy monday morning! Juz reached office and I can see the gloomy overcast covering the sea at ECP.

Ytd went to HB's place to slack. He play game (warcraft), i watch TV, Wiebber sleep. Din go to my Ah-gong's new house coz HB needed to destress by playing game and wanted dinner at his home. So we onli returned to my home at 11.30pm and there was durians waiting, complimentary of my mum. Wiebber was so excited, whined all the time until we gave him some and happily sleep after eating his fave fruit.

My sis complained that my Ah-gong had been asking where i was and y i din come to his place the WHOLE DAY. Haha, sounds evils, but i'm happy, coz my ah-gong NV ask abt my whereabt. Maybe he was vv touched coz i helped him shift home on sat. Suddenly the house moving event helped my granddad and me bond like nv ever in 21 yrs. I should go visit him more often from now onwards.

Wonders in a old house

If you have a grandparent, have you ever opened up their wardrobes n drawers to see wad's inside? Have you ever wondered wad they keep and remembered under all that clutter?

Was helping my maternal grand-dad pack his belongings and moving to his new house, the whole of ytd. Had to move coz of the En-bloc scheme by HDB. During the election, I din noe the importance of having lifts on every floor. To me, it was juz an upgrading to improve lives of residents. Only ytd, when i had to help my granddad walk up 1 storey, 2 flights of stairs, with him getting cramps after reaching the 10th floor (from 9th), tad i realised how impt it was for lifts to be on every floor. Although I'm already slightly pro-gahmen, I would still like to say HURRAY to LIFT UPGRADING!!!

Back to the shifting, I was responsible for the clearing of all the cupboards in the room. Found umpteen expired items (med & food stuff), watches (mostly spoilt), jade rings and rings with those big big 'gem' stones and, best find of the day, my mum's old photos (before she was married), her 'man jiang hong' report books and wedding invitation list!!! I also found many many things and photos of my late-grandma, whom i hold dear to my heart. At that moment, i understood y my granddad was apprehensive of moving... Although they din had the smooth wonderful marriage, the house held all the memories of them together, their children getting married, grand children crawling ard the floor when they were learning to walk, struggling with life when my grandma suffered from lung cancer. I was instructed to not bring over my granny's stuff to the new house, but i couldn't bear to throw them (although i threw like 3 bags full of other stuff), so i secretly and quietly pack them into boxes to be brought over to my granddad's new house.

Packed till abt 4pm when the transport pple came to send the boxes over and we brought my granddad to his place. Took...20mins... and the new house was like a street away onli. Had to walk slowly coz he had a fall 2 yrs ago and had difficulty in walking/balancing since den.

Everyone was VV worried he will dislike the new house. Coz my granddad is vv stubborn, if he dun like, everyone would be in big trouble. We also HAD TO move, coz the HDB was already sending letters of possession of the old flats. MY GRANDDAD LURVES HIS NEW HOUSE!!! He was impressed by the interior design (3rd uncle Fa-ge credits), the view (dun play-play, city and river + Nat stadium) and can see MRT. Hehe...onli complain of the day was the room too small. Luckily for us, ytd was NDP rehearsal, so he got to see the parachuting event, which he liked. Comments: ' Wah, ji kuan ming kia mah wu, haha!' As long as he smiled and laugh, everybody is happy.

Whole day so busy, therefore din spend much time with Wiebber. Updates: Cranky boy when we went home to feed him at 7pm b4 going out again, and crankier when we got home at 12am.

Blog credit also goes to TinaorNana for helping with e Tag-board and Mee-Siam for searching for a suitable blogskin. THANKS!!!

Singaporean Kids

It's obviously nothing surprising for me to eat at Pastamania for lunch. I'm like their ambassador since like eons ago and my boss thinks i'm their CEO.

Today i ate Prawns and Shrooms at Parkway Parade (which is where i work) and witness something shocking. *it's not shocking juz becoz i din eat marinara linguine ok*

There were lots of pple, mostly teenagers who were wearing '1st Inter-JC Swim Meet 2006' t-shirt. Ok, they were like all over the place, pple + Big sports bags with all the swimming gear n stuff. And after occupying so many tables with human, they decided that their bags need seats too.....

So they decided to take a table for 4 and dump all their bags there, on the chair, on the floor, on the table. It was a vv messy sight, considering the place was a restuarant and where frustrated working personnel choose to relax for lunch. Ok, maybe it was becoz the place was small, so their bags had to own seats.

Shock: When they decided to leave, there was this girl who places her heavy bag on an empty table and while walking away, she juz pulled the bag along. No, she did not lift it.
Result: The table toppled with it's menu, tobasco, dry chilli, cheese bottle.... And they all broke and splattered on the floor.
Rude Shock: Girl din say sorry to the service staff and told guy beside ' I was calling for help, the bag is so heavy. I can't lift it, but nobody help me.'

Instead of giving way to the poor waitress to clean the area, they still continued standing ard to collect the rest of the bags, helping others to get their bags, passing them ard, and joking abt the incident. For goodness sake, they are teenagers who were well capable in taking care of their possessions and could have seen the waitress standing rite beside them to waiting to clean up.

I dun have anything against JC kids. I dun expect them to be perfect either. But they could have shown a little more courtesy to the restuarant staff and other customers. The girl could have said sorry instead of turning ard to blame others for not helping her.

** Tsk tsk**

Maybe after focusing on academic results and employing native speakers from everywhere, the gahmen can look into grooming our native kids to become more responsible and respectful towards others.

Attempting blogskin change

Nv knew setting up a blogskin could be so darn difficult. Come to realise i'm a lil' bimbo when it's webby stuff. Alot easier when it comes to entertaining Wiebber. I have actually done minor changes from the original blogskin, can onli change it when i get home as i dun have the file on hand.

Big Gigantic Thanks to Banana n Miscue for helping me out in this blog thingy. They are superbly experts k, at least to me. =)

The day has juz started and it already seem too long. East of Singapore has been producing freaking lightning and thunder. Current weather is RAINY at ECP...sure jam + chop.

Oh yah, got my retainers from the dentist last night. Not vv tight, juz nice, but it has 2 pcs of plastic resting against my upper n lower palattes = super UNcomfortable. I can't tok properly now, sound like having short tongue. Spoke to my customer on the phone this morning and she thot i was having my breakfast!!!

Although i have yet to install a webcam at home to communicate with wiebber, i noe for sure he is sleeping in his poo pan again, at this moment. He's afraid of cold weather, so he'll sleep anywhere but the floor and stink himself up. Tonite we shall bath him.

Oh yeah... i have a mould of my entire teeth, should take a photo of it and upload it here...hehe

Uno

Finally decided to transfer here after trying out at multiply... reason being: it juz seem cooler to have ur blog URL ending with blogspot.com....

Always had a soft spot for writing diaries, but nv a regular... which means i need motivation to write. I remember it used to be vv cool having a diary, with pretty covers and small lockset, that you can find at ur neighbourhood bookstore.

Every girl seem to have one where they wrote their darkest secrets abt crushes or simply bitching to 'Dear Diary' for the day. I used to have the habit too, until my sis, mum and dad read them. *Ultimate infringement of Privacy* I cried like nobody's biz den while my dad simply retorted that a diary was written, so as to be read at some time. It seems nonsensical until blogs appeared. Now we are all writing for everyone to see and understand us better. I doubt my dad had foreseen this, but maybe he is juz being un-usually wise.

Till the next post, I shall pray to write(type) often.
