Takes so long to style

Okie, I truly miss my straight hair. At least it juz takes combing through and i'm ready to go. Today woke up bloody early and still turned up late for work. Juz curling my hair and styling it took nearly 1 hr!!! Well, but paid for it liaoz, might as well keep it. There goes my beauty sleep...

Took this shot juz 5 mins ago in the office. My eyes look like they need alot more rest than they have. The curls are truly wasted w/o highlights. So my fixed expenditure in thailand end of the yr is gonna be teeth whitening (S$400) and highlighting cost. No more shopping $$...

New ME

Ytd met my mom at Substance, ground floor of stamford court, to utilise this voucher Erch has won through contest. It was $300, more than enuf to do wad she would have wanted (rebonding), but she gave it up due to regular tying of hair and laments the rebond effect will be wasted.

Initial plan was to let my mum go for rebonding ($209) and me haircut + treatment. It turned out that my mum's hair was too layered, so rebond already oso no effect. So i could spend more. Hmmm...so wad do u think i did..................

Within the past year, there's been lots of changes to my hairstyle. Good thing my hair grows fast. =P

Tadaa!!! Presenting the NEW ME! (act cute tie)

I noe lah... The curl...digital perm...not obvious. The stylist say MUZ colour + highlight. Seems like it really is the case, but the price is absurd, S$194!!! Maybe i can try my luck in Thailand and risk looking like a Thai-Girl again... o_O

I'll post a photo of myself, not tying hair soon. Hehez....vain pot (notice all photos w/o braces..haha)

Wiebber's Day Out

Ytd was Saturday and I was free for the day so i decided to bring Wiebber to the beach... AGAIN! And since tinaornana mentioned she haben been to Sentosa for a vv long time, I roped her in for the short day trip. (She claims she was being treated like a maid, but well... Wiebber is worth it being pampered, right?)

Here are the photos:-

Transition

Got sick of the appearing cute monster but can't find any blogskins that i like, so decided to land up with a template while i continue to search.

My last blogskin made the fonts super small....so now that i change the skin, the fonts are so DAMN BLOODY BIG.... so fugly......... Dun tell me how difficult to read the previous posts are, coz i noe they look like kindergarten children's scribbles. Eww...

Nothing much to write abt myself, simply becoz nothing much is happening. There are many pictures that i 'planned' to post, but they are currently still in my gorgeous camera, so yeah, gotta wait for the good stuff. Hehez.... In the meantime....

Was chatting with my sis on MSN ytd when i asked her wad my darling was doing (it was 1pm)

Erch: 'he's doing wad he does best. I take photo and show u'

And there u go, a dog ignoring all human life and sleeping like nobody's business.

My mum says Wiebber and me are getting more and more alike. She claims i'm starting to look like Wiebber (!?!??!) and Wiebber's sleeping habits are like mine (which is pretty true). In fact, being the DOG in my family is pretty mundane, here's how his timetable looks like.

8am - Wakey wakey
8.05-10am - Eat breakfast, go toilet, brush hair
10.05am - Figures everyone's out to work, so he sleeps
*He sleeps throughout the afternoon, with or w/o pple ard*
6pm - Abit more energetic coz everyone starts to come back from work
7pm - Dinner and free to run abt
*the whole nite will be playing, running ard and making trouble*
11.30pm - starting to find places to doze off
12.30pm - Really snoring away... ZZzzz.........

I think it's pretty wierd y he's always so tired in the afternoon. U noe, dogs are supposed to be people pleasers, but when it comes to his afternoon naps, he doesn't care who's at home and he juz want to sleep. As proven on right.

But of coz, we disturb him all the time, and here's some photos of bringing him out, thus destroying his beauty sleep.

This is Wiebber the model, posing to publicise the newly opened Ben & Jerry @ Downtown East. Yah, now DTE has everything, soon will have cinema too. Pasir Ris Rulez!

But before the cinema arrives, here's Wiebber-in-the-bag at Tampines Mall. Trying to be as inconspicuous as possible, when a lil brat shouted out 'Mummy, see, got dog in the bag!'

Damn.

His name is James (#29)

Ytd evening I recieved a phone call from an unfamiliar number, but i picked it up anyway to see wad this whoever has to say.

???: 'Halo, is this...you, yu, yue...tian?'
Me: 'Ermz, yes, i'm yutian. May I noe who's that on the line?'
??: 'Oh Hi, I'm ur new agent taking over ur policy. My name is James.'

This bloody agency had no one taking care of my policy since my last 2 agents left. Take my $$ every month and onli sent me a replacement agent after like....8 months?!?!?! So the conversation continues...

Me: 'I'm sorry, James, but i have decided to transfer my policy to a friend who juz got her license (aka huiyin or Yvette)'
James: 'Oh...aiyah....so i too late lah. I juz take over ur policy only. I very good one, u noe.'
Me: 'I have been w/o an agent for the past few months and your agency only transfered my account to you. I think your agency is not very responsible.'
James: 'Den nvm lor, so who is this friend of urs who is taking over? I quite TOP one leh.'
*SO!?!?!*
Me: 'She's noes she wun be earning from taking over my policy, we have a common understanding.'
James: 'Wah, she really good friend hor. She work how long already ah? I'm going to be promoted to a manager soon.'
*SO?!?!?!*
Me: 'She juz got her license but i feel safer knowing who my agent.'

And so we said the normal polite stuff and hung up the phone. I'm not usually so pissed, but i dislike him the moment he started toking. Why the hell would i want a TOP soon-to-be-promoted-to-manager agent when his BIG agency cannot even take good care of my account???

Some agents just dun understand pple buy insurance not for u to earn $$, but it is a safety net to fall upon when something happens to us. It doesn't help when u beg us to buy ur policy, tell us we can eat cheaper food to save more $$ to buy an insurance policy or dun go shopping. We, the non-agents, are not suckers.

That's y i like Huiyin (aka Yvette) coz she doesn't do that. If any of u wants a Prudential agent to do assessment, get her mobile no. from me. She'll be more than glad to help, w/o obligations. =)

From left to right: Jas (admin col), yours truly (me), my boss, henrik(danish visitor)

Took this photo with a N73 camera, reviewed on the fone still quite good, but it proves inadequate for night shots. Okie, it's a fone camera, but they boast it can be CAMERA-FONE wad.... I dun wanna buy already.

My Panasonic Lumix, my favourite!

late nite with SMS

I muz have committed such wrong before, but I've definately learnt my lesson. To pple who doesn't turn in to bed before 12am, STOP FREAKING SMS ME IN THE MIDDLE OF E NITE!!!

I'm not angry, but i have fragmented sleep due to msg tones that come on at like 3am... I once had a friend who reprimanded me that i could always switch off my phone when i sleep, den Y these pple cannot reply sms in the morning!!! Personally, i switch on my phone 24-7 becoz i like to be ever-ready for pple who need me, but if u are juz replying to a msg i sent out at 4pm den u can wait till next morning. If I need an answer really urgently (life n death), I will call u (ur mobile, ur home, ur office).

Maybe I have nothing else more interesting to write abt..... *grouchy*

4 million smiles

10-20 Sep Nicoll Highway Closed

So it has begun. From now till the 20th, our country is gonna be on high alert, since Bintan doesn't allow protesters to use loudspeakers anymore. As much as i detest the trouble we have to go through, the detours, closure of roads and linkways, I still couldn't resist smiling. Not so much for the well-being of the delegates, I admit i'm pure narcissistic. Check this out, Hanbin and I smiling to be part of the mural.

who lives in the PINEAPPLE under the sea

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!

In ultimate Monopoly frenzy these days. I now have 4 diff versions of the age old boardgame at my house: Uniquely Singapore, Original, Disney, Spongebob!

The Disney one was bought along those temporary shops at Changi Village and cost onli $10!!! Obviously it isn't real, we weren't planning on getting the real thing anyway.

Ytd nite, Hanbin and I decided to get the next one: Spongebob Limited Edition!!! So fun! There was a Plankton game version, Pineapple house, Krusty Krab hotel and all our favourite characters from the cartoon. Next time my friends come to my place, they'll have so many choices of Monopoly. I love Board Games!!!

Wah....he handsome lor. But my boss memory stops somewhere, coz she says he's in his late twenties some yrs ago...and she still expects him to be late 20s. Whahaha....he mid-30s already lor and starting to have white hair lah.

Interesting facts:
1. Danish speaks a lil' like Indians
2. Denmark dun have Andersen Ice Cream of Denmark. (i feel so cheated of the $$ i spent on this foreign ice cream)
3. Danish pastry appears everywhere of the globe, except Denmark

Interesting fact outside of Denmark:
1. India dun have ROTI PRATA!!!

Keke.... look out this space man. I'll be posting photos with the handsome Danish(not Hana's nephew). Haha...

ironic or not

Tourism Queensland is having a fair at the Basement of Parkway Parade. And the fair includes Super Bee, Candy Making, Sand Sculpting...and the most famous of Queensland...Crocodile Hunter at Australia Zoo.

So everyday, as I walk ard in Parkway Parade, I see posters of the late Steve Irwin doing his stunts feeding crocodiles and a promotion for kids to take photo in that infamous Khaki costume and fake stuff toy resting on their small shoulders.

It's kinda sad seeing his posters and knowing he juz passed away freakily. Wonder if the photo-taking stall has less customers now as chinese parents are quite 'pan-dang' one. There was also a 'Little Croc Hunter' Contest, organised by Young Parents Magazine, where kids are supposed to dress in khaki costume and act like some explorer... The managment has dutifully changed the contest name to 'Little Zoo Keeper'. The new name is a little lame, but i guess it was a necessary decision to change the name, at least.

Tml and Fri got visitor coming to office. Danish guy, abt early 30s. Hehe...if he handsome, i will take photo with him to post it here. But if he not handsome ah, means my boss 'pian' me lor.

SHOCKED

As i logged out of my hotmail, it automatically redirected to sg.msn.com, which showed such a headline:

Australias Crocodile Hunter Killed on Diving Expedition

It turned out to be Steve Irwin, the famous naturalist, who never fail to show up on Animal Planet Australian or conservative wildlife series.

Although i never especially liked his shows, I muz say he is a very captivating person. And when he starts rambling abt the animals behaviours, U can see real passion in his eyes. Somewhat dramatic but u feel sincerity.

Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray's barb, off the coast of Port Douglas, where he had been fliming his latest wildlife series. Although it is extremely sad to hear the news, I somehow find comfort in knowing he was, at least, doing the things he loved.

Although no one of concern (like his family etc) is gonna read this post, I hope his family will find the strength to go on and his children will grow up remembering their father as a passionate naturalist and affable TV presenter.

Life is so unpredictable, I guess everyone should really be doing wad they WANT to do, so that they will not regret it when the moment is over. There were many times i set out to do something, only to give up due to society pressure or monetary reason. I wished I could take time to do voluntary work overseas, help the less-fortunate children, be a paramedic / nurse, backpack around the world to experience vast cultures. But i haben done any of these, because if i do not work, i have no $$ to pay my bills, other jobs pay better and do not require u to be on a 24-hr standby.

I salute Steve Irwin for being so passionate towards nature and hope he rests in peace.

my ^^^fast^^^ weekend

Haiz... Happy times also past so fast. 2 days on weekend seems juz as long as half a day in the office. This weekend has been fruitful, did many things (except going to dentist). Maybe that's y time past so fast...

Woke up so damn early on Saturday... Like 9.30am (vv early for me hor), to go for HB n my Adult First Aid Re-exam at St John HQ. It's called a re-exam because u have to renew ur first aid license every year... not that we failed the exam. In fact, I managed a FULL MARKS / 40 for the test. Hehez... so proud!!!

Den both of us headed to Suntec to meet up with Shui and Jingwen at K Box. All of us were late, supposed to meet at 10.30, but we onli turned up at 11.30. =P We ordered the yuckiest food and chicken rice for the K-lunch pkg, i think they delibrately made the food bad so that pple will come for the more expensive pkgs in the afternoon/nite. It wasn't as 'high' as usual (the singing), probably coz there onli 5 of us (plus xinying) and the songs we sang were pretty mellow.

***And this is the 4th time my boss enter the office while i blog (10.37AM)***

So after the kbox session, we went CoffeeBean to tok, xinying to continue sketching and left for her group project discussion at 3pm. Shui & JW left shortly after she got an emergency call from her office, leaving HB and I to our 'er ren shi jie'.

Long long time din go shopping with HB already... We were like those young dating couples again, holding hands while we walk along shops at Marina Square. And HB was in a mood to spend, on himself.. Hahaz... By the time we ended up at the foodcourt for dinner, he had bought 1 wallet from the walletshop, 2 tees + slipper from Ripcurl.

Went home and slept quite early as HB was tired out from all the walking + gaming till 3am the nite before.

Sunday: Woke up at 11am to prepare myself and drove my sis to tuition, HB n I den headed to Tampines 201 for his barber haircut and lunch. We've been eating at foodcourt n hawkers these days, which is a good thing as we REALLY need to SAVE. Den i drove him to Expo to attend the Cat show (where pple show their cats) and i headed home to pick up my parents and visit my grandfather at TTSH.

Left abt 3pm after my dad keep asking my mum whether we should go already...blah blah blah... Not sensitive at all!!! My mum juz wanted to spend more time with my ah-gong, coz he so lonely after we all leave, den keep meddling with his handphone signaling his bored. I so hate him for his self-righteousness (translate: I am always right) attitude. Not forgetting he spoilt my entire Sunday by picking a quarrel out of nowhere due to his low self esteem and lack of confidence. I shan't elaborate, and i'm sorry abt saying such things abt my own father, but i really cannot handle him anymore. I'm so upset with myself for being so upset with him. =(

Well, wadever, after visiting my Ah-gong, my parents and I headed to Tampines Mall to meet up with my sis and HB, who are changing their phone at Starhub and M1 using my mum's account. Tina got a Sony Ericsson W800i and HB got himself a Sony Ericsson W618i. We continued to Best Denki to get my mum's fruit blender and den to Haagen Daaz to exchange 2 boxes of Cookies & Cream Crunch with Starhub Points. Woohoo~ Heavenly!

Ok, den i drove everyone home, HB to change his uniform and picked up Wiebber and 3 of us went to catch the St John Annual General Inspection at Serangoon Stadium. We were...erm...late.... Onli got to see the march pass...whahaha!!!! Den tong-pang SNC to pasir ris and we headed to HB's place for dinner.

Nauti Wiebber Pee-ed on Hanei's bed which resulted to him having no pillow to sleep for the night and decided to head back to his rented room in Jurong West.

All in all, the 2 days past extremely fast and pple ard me are all in spending frenzy, except me. Not becoz i'm thrifty, it's becoz my cheque haben clear. Whaha....

*this is a damn boring post, sorry pple* Part of the reason i blog is due to extreme poor memory, therefore should i be questioned wad i did weeks ago, i can always come back to my blog to refresh my memory....kekez

Retainer Status: Lost

My barely 4 month old retainers have decided to leave me for good. Not that I dun need them anymore, I need them badly, but I obviously did not do a good job at taking care of them. I guess they muz be struggling with some other litter at Hans or NTUC Marine Parade. Poor thing, they were still so pinkish and new, w/o scratches and nice. Poor me....going to spend another $250 to get a replacement. I better have the study model of my JAW still. Tml is journey to Bukit Gombak to get screamed at by my nurse. Bless me.
