Bdae Genting Highlands Trip

Birthday Trip to Genting Highlands
(20 & 21st July 2007)

For my bdae present this year, Hanbin decided to treat me to a short trip to Genting, which was a pretty good choice, as i onli had 2 off days and he hadn't been there before. After all my urban legend of being able to touch the clouds and freezing cold weather, he decided that Genting it shall be, 4 days before the 20th. haha...super last min...

We booked a twin room at Genting Hotel and since it has 2 queen size beds, my mum and sis decided to come along. =)

Reached Golden Mile at 7.30am and it was smooth traffic all the way, but ard 11.30am, the bus stopped suddenly on the Malaysian North South Highway. Great~~ Bus broke down!!!

We waited a freaking 2hrs for the repairmen to arrive and fix the problem. And it was back on the road with a sun burnt nose...darn....
Reached Genting onli at 4pm (sheesh~half a day gone), checked in and immediately went to have 'lunch'... 1st stop - Marrybrown!

Den it was shopping and cam-whoring time. I haben been there for the past 10 yrs, so it was a big change from the Genting i remembered.

Lovers' Bridge

we came across the k-box sector and decided to climb a half-floor and saw this! Literally, K-box... Karaoke in a box @ RM 2 per song (expensive)

Their cultural village where there are diff shops named after diff asian countries selling that country's particular stuff. E.g. bangles at the India shop and ao yai at Vietnam shop. Den we saw this poster which showed like the countries' and their beauties. Singapore one is FIONA XIE! Wah, international leh... I had to prove i was juz as good...

As we reached Genting late, we decided not to go to the Theme Park, so my sis had to take pics to show she had rides afterall

After dinner at Kenny Rogers, which ran at m speed, my mum rushed to the Casino. Her highlight for the entire short trip. We juz went in to see the looks for the future IR. Gosh, the gamblers looked as stressed up as the dealers. I really admire the dealers for their concentration. It's not ez...seriously. After 2hrs in there, my sis and i decided we were not gonna take up any IR jobs unless it is non-gambling related. Like tending to the F&B stations.

My mum hadn't enjoyed enuf after 2 hrs of jackpot machine so we decided to let her roam on her own while we waited outside. Guess wad made my sis so psyched~!

BASKIN ROBBINS
Hanbin said i exaggerated abt the touching of clouds, so we juz took this foto. He kept saying it's not cold...

Day 2

We onli needed to check out at 12pm, so we decided to wake up early to have breakfast at the Genting Resort (which, according to the Five Star pple, is fabulous) I din really think so.

My mum again proceeded to another casino (there were many) and the 3 of us roamed surroundings.

Some famous chinese temple / pagoda down the hill...

The 3 of us met up with my mum 2 hrs later and went ahead to check out from the hotel and diligently waited for the bus at First World Bus Terminal. There we go again...7 hrs trip back to Singapore.
(Reached 10pm - took longer than expected coz it rained heavily)

Overall, the trip was nice. I might go again, but maybe when i have a child coz i think big children dun enjoy it as much as young children. HB agrees too. We could onli shop at their vv limited boutiques. Carlo Rino and Bonia was too expensive for us to enter anyway. Haha~

Next stop - India???

Celebrating Wiebber's bdae (9th July)

Wad ur purchase says abt U

Though i'm no paparazzi, and the man was nowhere near famous, I decided to peek at wad he was checking out at the NTUC counter.

1. Rechargeable batteries and charger
2. 2 packs of instant noodle
3. Insect Repellent

Looks: Average, middle-age, starting to bald, expressionless.

I conclude he was a bachelor (explains the battery, wad the hell), living alone (explains the maggi mee) in a non-aircon room/apt (explains the insect repellent).

I noe the above is nonsense but I have not much exciting gg on except to resort to peeking at pple while I wait in line. Cynthia Koh, Tan Diya and Carrie visiting Fancl no longer excites me. Skin is better off without disgusting make-up (as described by Diya).

Happy 23rd Bdae to Qiumei and Me! Cheers to our mum screaming tgt this day 23 yrs ago. =P
