Singaporean Kids

It's obviously nothing surprising for me to eat at Pastamania for lunch. I'm like their ambassador since like eons ago and my boss thinks i'm their CEO.

Today i ate Prawns and Shrooms at Parkway Parade (which is where i work) and witness something shocking. *it's not shocking juz becoz i din eat marinara linguine ok*

There were lots of pple, mostly teenagers who were wearing '1st Inter-JC Swim Meet 2006' t-shirt. Ok, they were like all over the place, pple + Big sports bags with all the swimming gear n stuff. And after occupying so many tables with human, they decided that their bags need seats too.....

So they decided to take a table for 4 and dump all their bags there, on the chair, on the floor, on the table. It was a vv messy sight, considering the place was a restuarant and where frustrated working personnel choose to relax for lunch. Ok, maybe it was becoz the place was small, so their bags had to own seats.

Shock: When they decided to leave, there was this girl who places her heavy bag on an empty table and while walking away, she juz pulled the bag along. No, she did not lift it.
Result: The table toppled with it's menu, tobasco, dry chilli, cheese bottle.... And they all broke and splattered on the floor.
Rude Shock: Girl din say sorry to the service staff and told guy beside ' I was calling for help, the bag is so heavy. I can't lift it, but nobody help me.'

Instead of giving way to the poor waitress to clean the area, they still continued standing ard to collect the rest of the bags, helping others to get their bags, passing them ard, and joking abt the incident. For goodness sake, they are teenagers who were well capable in taking care of their possessions and could have seen the waitress standing rite beside them to waiting to clean up.

I dun have anything against JC kids. I dun expect them to be perfect either. But they could have shown a little more courtesy to the restuarant staff and other customers. The girl could have said sorry instead of turning ard to blame others for not helping her.

** Tsk tsk**

Maybe after focusing on academic results and employing native speakers from everywhere, the gahmen can look into grooming our native kids to become more responsible and respectful towards others.
